try a different mechanic. since it only does it when its cold see if you can leave it over night then you and the mechanic take it for a little ride in the morning. Maybe if he can drive it he will understand what's going on.

The brand is irrelevant, as most are made in the same 2 or 3 factories overseas. Just make sure the muffler bearings are stainless steel; I can't emphasize this enough. If you don't ask for stainless and pinch a few pennies, you will end up with el-cheapo steel-iron bearings, and all the potential problems that go with it (rust, pitting, etc.).

My car was rattling my mechanic told me it was the front catalytic convertor. Now my car is making an awful rattling sound towards the muffler. Did the honey comb thing in the cat break and travel back into the muffler?

I have this weird..thing i guess? EVERY time I thin k about something, something will happen as soon as a few minutes after that is related to it. (i know that's sort of confusing. let me explain.) For example, if i think about a song and start singing it, I'll turn on the radio a few hours or days later and it will be on. I know it sounds like a coincidence, but it happens way way way too often to just be that. It happens pretty much every day. And not just with little stuff, like a song. If I just randomly think about a fire happening or something, a huge fire in California will break out. For example, I was thinking about how horrible it would be if a fire or tsunami hit and killed a lot of people (i know it's weird. I'm not a psycopath or demented or anything. I just think about stuff like alot). A week later, the tsunami hit Japan. And I get physically sick when something bad is about to happen. Also the week the tsunami hit Japan, I was extremely depressed and nauseous. As sson as I discovered the sunami had hit, all of my sickness went away ITS SO WEIRD! I also see alot of "ghosts" in my house and I can actually communicate with them if I try. I love visiting haunted places and seeing ghosts, just not all of the time. I know exactly what people are going to say before they say them, too. Also, if I walk in somewhere where no one was and it was completely empty all day and then leave, I will come back a few minutes later and it will be packed Again, it happens too often to just be a coincidence (sp?). I have de ja vu ALOT! I was wondering if there was a way to deal with this and get it under control. The problem is I am Christian and it doesn't line up with scripture. Please dont be rude and start saying mean things about how my "religion is stupid." and "God doesnt exist" blah blah blah. I'm not looking for that. I do believe that some stuff that haapens does not line up with scripture, but I am not willing to go and do pagan things or anything to deal with them or get them out of my house. I have nothing against other religions, I just do not want to practice them. I just want a way to turn these abilities on and off. Like, I want to go to a haunted place and see and communicate with ghosts when I want to, but then I want to be abled to go home without seeing them or hearing from them again. Be nice!!

There are so many levels to this question I think the best thing for you to do is find an geriatric care manager. It may not be an affordable solution but it can't hurt to check. A geriatric care manager should be able to help find the right nursing home. It might also help to have someone who is less emotionally involved situation that can help you discuss options with your father.

Black fluid dripping of the right exhaust of my 1999 Mustang GT 4.6L V8?

One of the by-products of a gasoline engine is water, which usually goes out thru the tail pipe as steam & isn't seen. Possible the 'stuff' that's leaking is just normal water from the engine picking-up soot from the inside of the exhaust pipes. Normally it would go out the exhaust as steam, but the leak is just giving it a different way out.

Apparently I have a problem with toilets. I've attempted to flush toilet paper numerous times. FYI that doesn't work either. Why does my battery keep draining?

I have a 1994 Chvy suburban with a 454 in it. I have replaced the battery but have to jump it in the morning everyday. It stays running and charged so i dont beleive it to be the alternator. It starts back up after it sits for awhile also. But when it sits overnight its dead. 2005 equinox..key won't turn and the lights don't come on?

I had been having trouble with the starter...I would turn the key and it would not budge and I would have to keep messing with it until it would finally turn on. I had a few different dreams last night. The first was similar to a dream i had months ago. Both times a man was trying to break an entry to steal something and both times he was trying to get in from the sliding glass window on the side of my house. In the first one he got in but ran out when we saw each other in the second he didn't get in but threw rocks at the sliding window. In the dream I had last night me and my dad armed are self and a few of my friends came to my house because the man who tried to get in turned out to be a crazy person on the lose going from house to house. Later that night i had different dreams of other people that I kind of know robbing or stealing from random people i have never seen. There was lots of violence and demented things happening but i wasn't necessarily there i some how could just see everything. What do I do about my internet service?

I have Qwest Broadband internet and honestly I think it is one of the worst internet services out there. I warn you now don't get it unless you want to get disconnected every 5 - 10 minuets. It's slow and when you ask for help from a person online they don't solve the problem. I know I can change internet providers but I want to know how they can get away with this. Sunburn blisters help?

Last Friday afternoon I got a horrible sunburn on my back, by Saturday night I had two pretty big patches of blisters below each shoulder. One got very big and I repeatedly drained it to keep it small. Now today (Tuesday), those blisters are definitely starting to go away and the redness on my skin is fading. I even started to peel. I had a family member help me peel it, but it was itching so we rubbed some lotion on. About nine hours later, I pulled off my shirt and I have smaller, whiter blisters on the top outside part of my arm and below the original patches of blisters. I popped two or three of the bigger ones and they were had clear liquid in them. Could these be a reaction to the lotion or are they another part of the sunburn? How long should I expect them to be around? Thanks!

32 wks pregnant, so tired can barely stand?

I get enough sleep, my husband is helping out a lot with housework so I'm not over doing it. I was cooking dinner and I had to sit down it was too much to even make dinner. I get out of breathe all the time. I have not put on any weight during this preg. So I am not obese. I have a different kind of fatigue than just being tired it's almost like the baby has drained everything out of me. This is my 4 th and it has never happened prior to this preg. okay MAKE SURE you put aloe vera or cocoa butter on the spot during and after its gone so you dont have a mark because popping it leaves a mark but aloe stops that from happening. wait a day, pop it, then put ice on it (clean hands) do that for a minute then put on tea tree oil and leave it. dont wash it off, even if its a strong smell. wash after 2 hours, and put on the ice for another minute. dont keep it on for the solid minute, take it off for a few seconds so it doesnt cause an ice rash. moisturise it after washing your face too. drink water to help make sure the skin repairs quicker from better hydration.

I'm a sixteen-year-old girl who grew up watching movies like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Psycho." I've always had a fascination for twisted, demented things. When I go online, I don't look up normal girl things such as clothing and quizzes...I look up serial killers and read about them for hours. I'm not repulsed like all my friends when there is a gruesome scene in a movie; I love it! Now, I'm not as weird as I sound, I promise. I have tons of friends, a great family and am deeply in love with my boyfriend of three years. But when I hear about someone getting shot, I literally am bored with the story. I want to hear about cannabals and sadistic killers who feel no remorse: Ed Gein and Albert Fish! Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahhmer! It's not like I idolize these people, but I'm strangely interested in every thing there is to know about them. What the hellll? Does it have anything to do with my chronic depression or eating disorder? Or my past suicide attempts? I'm perfectly happy now, I just don't understand it!

my 2001 honda civic jus shuts down when the temp is high.y icantsay but this started to happen after i changed the timin belt. i didnt trace it to dat but when i drove slow for like 20 minutes the temp rises.i did try cleanin the radiator using washing detergent. the car drove fine but when i drained out the detergent and used rain water the temp starter to work high and at dat temp the car feels slugish any advice on how to make fan switch work at lower temp. wat sensor is located infront of the ac condensor. it is like a head lamp bulb and black thanks

House flooded. Is the insurance co being fair to me?

I would seek advice from a professional flooring installer. If they can give you some supporting information that the flooring was damaged when water got beneath the vinyl your insurance company will probably change their mind. Ask the ins co which flooring company they regularly use in your area and have them inspect the floor. That way they will be more receptive to the claim. Good Luck

I had been having trouble with the starter...I would turn the key and it would not budge and I would have to keep messing with it until it would finally turn on. Starting a Car on a Dead Battery?

Is there a way of disconnecting all electronics of the car so that the battery will start the car without going flat. Because I charged the car battery, I think, well it was on charge for hours and hours, and when I put it in car nothing happened I just thought something was draining it. Surprisingly jump cables didn't work either, the dials light up but car didn't start. Is there anything else I can try, But I don't want anything too expensive because its just an old car lying in the street, I was planning on getting started and rallying about in. :)

I have been having dreams about people trying to kill me since I have been five years old (that's as far as I can remember) and have now found them normal. I found out when I get stressed they don't occur and when they don't occur I find it weird. I have started to fight back around when I was in 7th grade and also killed some of the people trying to kill me. I have also had zombie dreams where I would fight them and try to escape. Kitchen sink backing up into pipe vent and spilling out?

When empty my dish water in the sink it flows back up into the straight pipe that i was told is a vent? It is completely ruined the boards under the sink. No other drain in my home is backing up or having issues. I have snaked the drain with a 50 foot snake and put liquid plumber foaming pipe snake in I have used original drano and used vinigar and baking soda. and boiling water. Nothing is working. Catalytic converter question (help)?

Okay I have a full cat-back exhaust system headers to muffler.. But my catalytic converter is gutted (was already before I put the exhaust system on) .. so basically its a straight pipe from the header to the muffler. My question though is I don't think I'm getting any back pressure and losing HP when I press the gas (not flooring) it feels like your accelerating from like 3rd gear or something. So I got another catalytic converter, should I put it on and will it help me gain lost power?

Add the fertilizer to the bucket and add your water. We have fairly good water where we live in WA state and we just use tap water. No filter or anything. Find something more balanced like a 10-10-10 or 15-15-15, or even 5-5-5. Orchids need very little fertilizer so just a pinch or a couple of drops into your bucket and soak. Any hardware store with a garden center will have fertilizer for you.

Honda civic problems!?

When i start my car there is a loud spluttering sound coming from the muffler. Not from the tip of the muffler but from the underneath up near the engine. the car splutters then the engine just comes off. When you rev the car, the needle goes up to about 4 then the engine just dies out. The O-ring in the muffler has been replaced but the sounds and problems continues. HELP PLEASE!!! I have run out of ideas.

1991 Camaro Z28 Custom Exhaust?

I was planning on putting an exhaust system on my 91 Z28. I heard an exhaust on a 98 Z28 that I was trying to match. The system I am trying to match is the Loudmouth II series from SLP. I noticed SLP doesnt do much if anything for 3rd gen F-bodies like mine. So my initial plan was to by the mufflers and have the pipes done custom at this place Red Run in Ephrata Pa (if your familiar with my area). What else would I have to worry about to match the sound?

The rubber piece you are speaking of is like a shock absorber for your muffler. It keeps it from vibrating the rest of the car. Usually you can spray it with wd-40 and it comes right off. There should be a metal bar that it will slide off of. Take the rest of the rubber pieces off and you should be able to lower the muffler.

Sunburn blisters help?

Last Friday afternoon I got a horrible sunburn on my back, by Saturday night I had two pretty big patches of blisters below each shoulder. One got very big and I repeatedly drained it to keep it small. Now today (Tuesday), those blisters are definitely starting to go away and the redness on my skin is fading. I even started to peel. I had a family member help me peel it, but it was itching so we rubbed some lotion on. About nine hours later, I pulled off my shirt and I have smaller, whiter blisters on the top outside part of my arm and below the original patches of blisters. I popped two or three of the bigger ones and they were had clear liquid in them. Could these be a reaction to the lotion or are they another part of the sunburn? How long should I expect them to be around? Thanks!

Nightmares--triggers?

I just had one of the two scariest dreams of my entire life (I am 19). I tend to be a very happy person and upbeat about life. I am non religious (so don't believe in demons, spirits, etc., so please don't mention it) and not a fan of the whole spooky/scary movie scene (haven't watched one in years). I am really interested in where this dream could have spurred from. I don't want to share exact details, because it is scary for me to even think about it. All I am willing to share is that it involved death. Not myself dying, but one I didn't know, and there was an extremely weird connection between me and that person's death. None of this is relevant to anything in my day to day life. I went to bed fairly stressed out, but not all that much more so than usual (typical college student), so I really don't see what this dream means or where it came from. I hardly ever remember dreams, usually because I am so exhausted when I sleep. The fact that one of my only dreams in a few months was a really demented dream scares me. What can clear a VERY clogged drain ?

Kitchen sink is CRAZY clogged ! Hired a plumber who snaked and it worked ok for a couple weeks then clogged again. Purchased some ZEP and it seemed to work like a charm but now its completely clogged again ! Used an entire bottle of zep, plunged and still no help ! Was I stupid to have this Repair Shop fix what caused my engine to Overheat?

My car is old but I have always had the oil changed and fluids topped off. The engine overheated last week. I brought it to a cheaper repair shop to see if they could tell me if they could fix it. I have used them before for mufflers and brakes and they do good work on those things. They found a radiator leak and other things but I drove it the next day and it overheated again. They said it was due to a popped head gasket due to driving it without anti-freeze. I know the engine could be ruined but I wish I hadn't paid $500 to have them fix the radiator, do a tune up and so on . . . just to have a dead car. He won't give me my money back because he said that they didn't see the problem with the anti-freeze/head gasket at the time of the repair. Comments? Don't really want to sue. Will have to eat the repair expense and get another car . . . just looking for someone experienced with auto repairs to give me insight - e.g. how stupid was I?

2000 Mustang Coupe with dual exhaust?

31W 2D Pregnant and emotional hurt and drained...?

Kawasaki Bruteforce 750 problem while running for a few minutes!?

On my Kawasaki Bruteforce 750, I just rebuilt the dual carb, now it will be running for a few minutes and then it will make a pop sound and the engine will engage the second cylinder and then the engine starts to rev higher without any touch of the throttle. I noticed there was a crack in the muffler by the cylinder head, I am going to replace that. Now I am checking one of the cylinder heads closest to the back of the atv to see if any of the gaskets are broken or cracked. I can't seem to find anymore problems with the cylinder head. My question though is I don't think I'm getting any back pressure and losing HP when I press the gas (not flooring) it feels like your accelerating from like 3rd gear or something. So I got another catalytic converter, should I put it on and will it help me gain lost power?

I would definitely stay away from that plot. I'm a writer as well and I hail from Michigan. That kind of plot would make it harder for the audience to attach to the main character (who I assume will be the demented man). I think it is way too far out of the box for most people. Rape and murdering children is not something more people want to read about. I would avoid this plot like the plague. You could try doing this as sort of a Hannibal Lecter, reflecting over it from his prison cell while he explains what happened to a police officer or make him a serial killer who didn't just kill and rape his daughter but other people too. If you dwell too much on the fact it was his daughter I think you'll frighten people off in the worst of ways. If you plan on getting this published and it involves incest rape and murder I don't think you'd have a chance to get it published. Just a few thoughts.

My motorcycle makes a single kind of loud click?!?

I have a 2001 Suzuki gs500. I've done all routine maintenance after i bought the bike. It still runs fine, BUT at about 900 to 1100 RPM when I move the throttle just a LITTLE bit it will make a loud single click noise. Not super loud but enough to make me ask this question. I don't know much about motorcycles it doesn't make this noise at a high rpm or at regular speeds or even all the time.. I've read maybe something about the valves needing adjusting. End Stage Liver Disease - Prognosis?

hi, my mum has end stage liver disease. she is being released from hospital today after only 4 days in there. She has had her varicies banded, (3 in total, she was throwing up blood and lost a lot of blood) and is badly jaundiced. They have been pumping her body with everything and have drained over 5 litres from her abdomen. They have said he liver will never repaired it self and has failed. I'm a bit concerned she is being released so early, as previously she has been in for a couple of weeks. Is she being released because there is nothing more they can do for her and its likely she will pass soon? Also how long can the body function with a failed liver? If anyone has any personal experience on this or is a doctor i'd be very grateful for your responses. The doctors will not answer my questions due to patient confidentiality. Aside from the obvious, like pain-how do you know. My dog is 14, a little crippled from arthritis, hard of hearing and demented ( wakes me up in middle of night ), pees in the house. I now have piddle pads everywhere. She takes mild tranquilizers so I can sleep. She is skinny, but still eats (although not much ) and loves her walks. Ok. My turtle went threw the same thing idk if i did the procedures right but my turtle did heal. First I let my turtle dry out by keeping it out of the water for a good 15-25 minutes. Next i put the turtle on a cloth and took a needle. I then gently stuck the needle a little bit into it resulting in this liquid type stuff (lookes like that type of stuff human cuts if its really bad pus or whatever) coming out of the bumb. Gently squezze it until you think it is all out. Next put the antibiotics on top of where your stuck the needle in. Clean the tank fully with disinfectant and and any other stuff you usually clean your tank with. But before you clean your tank put the turtle in a sink or bowl with water to let it soak and get moist again. After your done with the tank. Put the turtle back in the water in the tank. Put the anitbiotics on every morning and every night for a week or 5 days. And in a matter of time it will be all better. Its not professional but my great grandfather taught me this and it works. Drying the turtle will reduce the pain.But it is really better to take it to the vet because of the risk of killing your turtle and head trauma. Since they are in medical business i think they can get discounts only costing them around $40-100

Fix stock cosmetic damage on exahust tips on 2002 grand am gt coupe.?

i have a 2002 grand am gt coupe and i love this car. my stock exhaust is a 4 pipe off the muffler and they look chrome color but it looks like the paint is chipping away. yes it will fit. just use the 00 engine mounts and engine harness. 92-00 civic have the same engine block and tranny except the heads r turned differently. and when u say ur car is shaky, then ur lug nuts are loose. i had that before and when i tightened them up, the car didn't shake. also ur car burning too much oil is caused by not having the engine in correct timing therefore ur car wont start right away and stalls. take ur timing belt off and put the 1st piston all the way up by moving the crank pulley. then the cam gear with the "up" mark at the top pointing up towards the hood. u don't have to remove ur head but remove the spark plug and use something that will fit thru the spark plug hole. if the object ur using goes very after then ur piston is completely down or in the middle. don't try to turn the cam gear or pulley with the belt on. this will cause damage to the valves.

I really wouldn't. It'll sound like utter sh*t. And it won't gain you much in the way of power for fuel economy, you'll just be making noise. But anyway you should just be able to unbolt the section of exhuast pipe with the muffler, remove the whole assembly and replace it with another pipe length of pipe in the same shape, but without the muffler.

Best mufflers for added power?

I want to add a new muffler on my car (And possibly a cat back system later on) and need help choosing one. I was thinking a glasspack, but they're cheap and I've never used one. My mechanic offered me a nice muffler for $100, and said they're usually about $200, I didn't catch the name, but it was bigger than the glass pack, and had an insert to quiet it when needed. It was also smoked chrome rather than whatever the glasspack is made of. Has anyone used a glasspack before? Do they do much? My mechanic drags and does custom exhaust fabrications so I trust his opinions, but he didn't say much about the glasspacks. Are they any good? Do they add any power? They're cheap enough that if I don't like it I could replace it, but I'd rather not go through the trouble. Also, I understand a muffler alone won't make my car a rocket, but I'd like a better tone, and maybe a little extra power.
