Why do people like screamo music?

It has to be the worst creation of sound by human kind. It's basically ear rape. It doesn't even deserve to be called music. It's just a demented dog barking in a microphone, every song sounds EXACTLY the same. Each one is sung the same way, all the instruments are played the EXACT same way in every song, and you cannot tell the difference between any of them. I recognize that there is some bad music, or music I don't like. Like rap, pop, and such, I know that they are music, just not what I like. But screamo? It shouldn't even be called music. COMPLETE. GARBAGE. What do some people see in it?
