82 corvette help please?

Well my grandpa said that he would give me his corvette when I get my license but hers the thing it it needs a new pains ( old looks bad) new carpet in it new stero 500$ and new whells don't have to be expensive ok how much would this cost and how fast would it go (stock engine ) with new muffler.
